How to choose

Which softener for your Frisco home

The three tiers are a genuine engineering difference in softening capacity, not a trim level. More capacity means longer between regenerations, which means less salt and less water used getting there.

What changes after it’s in

  • Soap lathers properly, so you use noticeably less of it

  • Shower doors and fixtures stop crusting over between cleans
  • Skin feels less tight and hair less brittle — usually within a week
  • Your water heater stops scaling, which is where the long-term money is

Softener installs, in their words

It’s been more than a month since we got water softener and RO installed by honest water co and we see difference in water hardness. The pricing is also good compared to other quotes that I got from different vendors. These guys were able to complete installation within 2 hours

Questions

Softener FAQs

What size water softener do I need in Frisco?

Size is driven by two things: how hard your water is and how much of it your household uses. Our Standard is 48,000 grains and suits most three to four bedroom homes; the XL is 64,000 and the Dual Tank is 96,000. We size it from your actual test result and household, not from square footage alone.

Will a softener fix the taste of my Frisco water?

Partly. Our whole-home systems pair softening resin with coconut-shell carbon, so they take out chlorine along with the hardness — and chlorine is usually what people are tasting. For drinking water specifically, reverse osmosis goes considerably further.

Do water softeners waste a lot of water?

A softener regenerates periodically and uses water to do it. Our ProValve offers metered regeneration, which means it only regenerates when it has actually processed enough water to need to, rather than on a fixed timer. That's a meaningful difference in both salt and water use.

How much salt will I go through?

It depends on your hardness and usage. Most households top up the brine tank every one to two months. If you'd rather avoid salt entirely, our salt-free conditioner prevents scale without it — though it conditions rather than softens, and we'll be straight with you about that difference.
