Honest Water Co (“we”, “us”) operates https://honestwaterco.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short because it isn’t complicated.

What we collect

• Information you give us. When you request a water test or quote, we collect your name, phone number, email address, home address or ZIP code, and whatever you tell us about your water.
• Information collected automatically. Standard web analytics — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads for this.
• Advertising identifiers. If you reach us by clicking one of our ads, we record the click identifier so we can tell which advertising actually produces customers.

Why we collect it

• To contact you about the water test or quote you asked for.
• To schedule and carry out an installation, and to support it afterwards.
• To understand which of our marketing works, so we’re not wasting money on the parts that don’t.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

What we don’t do

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We do not send you unrelated promotional material because you once asked about a water softener.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the business — for example our scheduling and customer records systems, our email provider, and Google for analytics and advertising measurement. Each is bound to use the data only to provide that service to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies for analytics and advertising measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may work less well if you do. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, and adjust ad personalization in your Google account settings.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t become customers are kept while they’re commercially useful and then deleted. Customer records are kept for as long as we support your system and for as long as tax and warranty obligations require.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Children

Our site isn’t directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we won’t claim otherwise.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Material changes will be made obvious on the site.
